We believe food is more than fuel.

It's connection, creativity, and a small act of care — every single day.

How it started

During the COVID-19 pandemic, like many of us, we spent more time at home — and more time in the kitchen.

It felt like an opportunity at first. But we kept hitting the same wall: recipes were either too familiar to be interesting, or too ambitious — calling for specialty ingredients that were expensive or simply impossible to find for a single meal.

That friction sparked an idea. What if the recipe was the starting point — not for a shopping trip, but for getting exactly the right ingredients to you, fresh and local, in exactly the amount you need? No overstocking. No waste.

The shift we want to spark

Plop isn't just a cooking app. It's an invitation to think about food differently.

  • Stop buying groceries without a plan — and quietly watching them go to waste.
  • Start understanding what you're eating and why it matters for how you feel.
  • Recognize that every meal you cook is a small act of self-care.
  • Develop a genuine curiosity about where food comes from, and the people who grow it.

Where we're headed

Our long-term vision is a world where you can live "no-stock, no waste — always fresh." We're building toward a platform that connects people directly with local farmers, so that the recipe you choose today brings exactly the right ingredients to your table tomorrow. Eat less, but eat better.
